Arizona 4-H Horse Bowl Team is Competing in Denver in January! |
But they need YOUR help! Horse Bowl is a quiz competition where teams from all over the U.S. and Canada test their knowledge of the equine industry. "We are looking for donations to pay for uniforms, plane tickets, contest registration fees and lodging", says team coach, Dru Alberti. "I'm really proud of the time and attention the kids are giving to prepare for the competition, but without the financial support of the equine community, we won't get there." These kids are the future of the equine industry in Arizona, so please support their efforts. The bulk of the fees are due during the first half of November. You can make a tax-deductible donation to AZ 4-H Horse Bowl Team 2009 · c/o Dru Alberti · 8644 E. Via del Oro · Queen Creek, AZ 85242. Call Dru at 480-766-2830 or contact her via email at hippology@queencreek4h.org.

Hacienda de los Milagros (Home of Miracles) A non-profit lifetime animal sanctuary in Arizona |
We understand that many humans are having a tough time, and most, if not all non-profits are feeling the crunch. Sometimes the best way to stop feeling sorry for yourself is to try to find ways to do for others. And some ways to help others don't even require money or time, just thoughtfulness! For instance, www.iGive.com gives up to 26% of sales to charities, and without you paying a dime more! If you shop through iGive and designate Hacienda de los Milagros as your charity, the 135 burros, 1 mini jack burro, 33 horses, 3 mules, 2 hinnies, 2 miniature horses, 3 ponies, 2 llamas, 10 rabbits, 16 cats and 2 dogs will thank you! Other ways to help? There are matching contributions, products and more on the website at www.HDLMSanctuary.org. |
